I like that in this movie, much like many of Ben Stiller's films, he has a comically bad haircut. It implies that with a good haircut, Ben Stiller would actually be attractive and not at all look like a simian.
If it weren't for the bad hair, no one would buy Ben Stiller as a loser, of course - better uglify him so that the audience members can suspend their disbelief. Otherwise, why would it be hard for a hot stud like him to woo Cameron Diaz?
At least this new movie appears to have a real script, rather than just silly costumes for Ben and Owen Wilson to wear as they wander around the set improvising dialogue.
